My hairdresser Mai & colorist Sarah are the best! I tell everyone I know about Jet Rhys. My 2 daughters are clients as well. Teenagers can be emotional about hair, but they love their haircuts from Mai.

I am usually afraid of fancy looking salons but not this one. What struck me most was that everyone I encountered seemed extremely sincere and nice and competent. I needed a pick up since I have been in a care taker space all during the holidays and went to see Sarah D about the possibility of putting in some bright highlights to my silver grey hair. IM 63 and after painfully growing it out for a year from coloring it for 30 years has been good and not so good. Silver grey hair does make me feel and look older especially being in and out of watching over my mother in law at assisted living place. But Sarah thought I wasn't ready today to really color it and didn't think highlights would make a huge difference for the money I was gonna spend. I found her very intuitive, insightful, adorable, sincere and nice for being a young gal. She went and got Jet the owner and she agreed that I wasn't ready for color today and suggested an all over color of maybe a champagne color to make me look younger and brighter. She suggested a good cut and brought over Topher. He is super nice, really took the time to ask me questions about my grooming and time hair styling and my lifestyle and gave me a nice easy haircut that I really like. Now if only I can style it like he did They gave me a new client discount and have a nice referral discount if you refer peeps in. I also was sent home with a little sample bag of nice products. I must say that this salon exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back. I am very particular about salons and have not gone back to many, so without hesitation I believe you will have a similar experience because they all seem to want to please, want your hair to look great and for you to be happy when you leave the salon.

The reviews brought me to Jet Rhys and Sarah was my colorist. She could sense my fear to get my hair done since I had a bad experience elsewhere but she reassured me... it will look amazing when done. And.... it did. She couldn't have colored my hair more spot on with the color I had been trying to get for months. I could hardly brush my hair before and my hair was breaking. Now it's soft and more healthy looking. Their products are amazing. I wanted to write a review the moment I left but waited a while to see if the color would stay. It's a few weeks later and just as vibrant as when I left the salon. Thanks Sarah!!! From a new dedicated customer.

Every time I come to this incredible salon I am greeted by every single person who helps me with my hair, with a huge welcome! I always leave, looking and feeling beautiful!! And I always feel so cared for! I am so lucky to have the most talented people in the world taking care of me and my hair! Ricky cuts it so precisely and with great texture and Sarah puts in incredible high lights and always blends my hair perfectly with my skin tones. My selfie photo doesn't quite do it total justice! They also give you a great discount if you refer a friend and the friend also gets a discount! Win win, all the way around!

I love the salon every time I walk in. Sarah (color) and Mallory (cut) are the absolute BEST! I always leave loving my hair and feeling so much better about myself. Everyone is so kind and professional, and Shar and the front desk team are always so on top of everything. So thankful to have my hair appointments at Jet Rhys to look forward to!

Sarah at Jet Rhys salon is simply amazing!! After trying out approximately 8 or 9 stylist/colorist all over San Diego the last two years, I've finally found someone who gave me exactly the color I was looking for! This place gets more magical by the minute! I went in today for a trim by Hair Magician Sal, as we were finishing my "laser cut" bob, it truly looked like a laser cut it... and I have curly hair.. ok back to the story, a very fascinating lady came by, introduced herself and we started talking about color, fun color! I just finished mentioning to Sal how I wanted to do something fun eventually, little did I know that "eventually" was now... well ... drum roll please... This fascinating person I just met was the Wizard herself, JET!! As soon as my brain caught up, I was in awww, we talked color, we had ... let me rephrase this, she had this amazing fun vision on how to add some rock and roll to my hair, and amp up the sassy in my life! And oh boy sassy I feel! Sal, your haircuts are simply divine, through the years we definitely had some fun, long, short, shaved, faux Mohawks , and today we put the cherry on top, with a color that does this haircut some serious justice! Jet, meeting you was an experience on its own, your energy is infectious! What an honor! Thank you to Sara, Amanda and Trisha for helping in the process. Every time I have tried other salons, they do not come close to this place. Sara does awesome color that does fade or bleed onto towels like I've had at other places (I have my hair dyed almost black). Ricky does amazing bob haircuts and is very detailed and meticulous. I have moved to North Orange County a couple hours away but I still plan to come here when I visit family and friends in San Diego. Plus they sell Bumble and Bumble, the best brand of hair care products (and I've tried tons). Love this place!!
