Hi my name is Makenna, I specialize in haircutting. My decision to do hair started with the fact that I am a third generation hairstylist. Alongside that, I’ve always been a very creative and artistic person, accompanied with an appreciation of structure and order. I love cutting hair because it is the perfect combination of all of those factors.
I love our clients because they appreciate the skill and craft of the Jet Rhys way, and have been very loyal to us for years.
My goal is to deliver my best professional opinion to every client, new or returning, as well as asking the right questions. I listen to their every day hair care needs, expectations for their hair maintenance, and the ideas and inspiration they come in with.
I love utilizing blow drying and hot tools to change up my client’s hair texture. Either adding volume and fullness to fine hair, or adding smoothness and shine to thick/wavy hair. I also love adding in some fun beach waves or big bouncy curls.
I enjoy working with any hair length. It’s a lot of fun to change it up based on my client’s personal style, and it presents different creative opportunities for me as a stylist. I especially love cutting beautiful long layers, a clean blunt line, a sassy short layered/pixie cut, or adding simple face framing/fringe.
The best part about being a hairdresser, for me, is making people happy. I get to provide a pampering, and relaxing escape from their everyday life. It’s not just about hair, it’s also about the fact that we get to listen and connect with people every day. I also couldn’t be more thankful to work at Jet Rhys with such a talented, caring, and fun team!
