  *Junior stylists may be available for cutting and coloring. They are licensed and are completing their advanced training. Their work is overseen by more experienced members of our team.

  Models Wanted

  • Have some free time? Live near Solana Beach? Be a hair model at Jet Rhys Hair Salon. All work is done by licensed trainee hair stylists participating in advanced training, perfecting their skills. Cut and color models are always needed. Allow 2-3 hours; nominal fee applies.     Salon Policies

    Blowdry Policy
    At Jet Rhys your service includes a blowdry that works with your natural texture.
    Some hair types, such as curly, heavily texture, and relaxed hair cannot be effectively blown-out within the given service time. In such cases it is better to leave the hair to dry naturally, you may however opt to have your hair smoothed and hot ironed for an additional fee, which starts at $37.86. Please ask your service provider for details. If you wish you may book a full professional texture changing blowdry in addition to your service and we will make you look stunning.

    Redo
    At Jet Rhys Hair we strive to create the ideal look for each guest. Should we not complete your look to your satisfaction, please contact us within 14 days of your service to speak to the same stylist – colorist to address your needs.

    Product
    Jet Rhys salon will gladly accept product returns up to 14 days from the date of purchase on unused merchandise.
    If the product has been gently used Jet Rhys will accept the return up to 14 days from the date of purchase for store credit only. Store credit is only applicable towards the purchase of products and can not be used for hair services. Brushes and combs are not returnable.

  Health & Wellness Fee
  During Covid the salon incurred enormous expenses and at the same time received no income for more than 5 months and severely reduced income for an even longer period of time. Unlike some salons/hairdressers we complied with all regulations the State mandated and never worked when we were not allowed to or did house calls; we even refused to sell take-home color formulas as that wasn’t technically permitted.

  Additionally our landlords were very unforgiving and although they delayed the payment of rent, it still had to be paid regardless of our situation. As you can probably imagine this resulted in significant debt to the salon and nearly closed our business, which would have been disastrous to everyone that works here.

  At the same time we provided support to our team, continued their benefits and paid bonuses where possible so they could navigate the pandemic as best as they possibly could.

  We introduced the Health & Wellness Fee to help keep the business afloat, protect their jobs and pay the benefits for our team. We greatly appreciate your support.
