I’m pretty lazy about getting my hair cut — maybe once every six month if I’m lucky. That one time has to be good, and I’ve never been disappointed at Jet Rhys.
Mallory has cut my hair both times, and she is an absolute pro. She’s totally focused on her work, but still takes the time to be friendly with her clients. When I left her to her own creativity — all I wanted was an asymmetrical cut, but I didn’t really know what beyond that — she gave me one of the coolest cuts I’ve ever had. But she’s also great at listening to clients and figuring out the best cut for the occasion. (Once I came in wanting a practically shave one side off. Before starting, she got it out of me that I was also up for job interviews and steered me toward a classic bob instead which I adored.)
I usually dye my hair myself, but i have tried it out here twice — Quinn and Trish both did fantastic thoughtful jobs. Each time, I was sad to see it go when it eventually grew out.
Everyone from stylists to the receptionist have been wonderfully helpful and friendly. And when it’s all done, you can round out your day with treats from the cupcake shop downstairs. What’s not to like? Seriously, I can’t recommend this place enough.
