Go Natural

Ditch your Blow Dryer for Great Summer Hair

Using a blow dryer is about as much fun as standing next to a furnace this time of year. How about skipping the sweat roll and embracing your natural texture? “By avoiding all heat-styling appliances, you’ll see your hair looking and feeling its best,” says our friend Jet Rhys. If you’ve got wavy or curly hair, apply a curl cream to damp hair to define spirals and give them more bounce, says Jet. (She likes the Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious line, which has creams for fine and coarse curls). If you’ve got straight strands, braid your damp hair or twist it into a bun. Once it’s dry, undo it, tousle it with your fingers, and go. (If hair looks flat, apply a texturizing cream or spray to damp hair first, before putting it up. Jet likes Bumble and Bumble Texture Crème.)
